Leigh Stimolo
Screenwriter, Filmmaker, Director, Author
Born and raised in Connecticut, Leigh Stimolo grew up in the small towns of Haddam, Higganum and Killingworth. Her dad, Robert Stimolo, worked as an editor at Xero for Weekly reader and her mom worked in city planning for Middletown, CT, and later, New Haven, CT. Leigh’s parents divorced when she was 7. She had a big family on her father’s side who mostly resided in Brooklyn, NY, and many of whom were and are working musicians and in the entertainment business. Leigh’s mother’s family originated from NYC, her aunt Madelyn Kaufman ran the first female run printing press, Kaufman Printing Press. Her great-grandmother, Rose David, was a seamstress for high end fashion. Her great-grandfather Adolf Klick was a successful businessman and self-taught violinist, among other instruments. Her grandmother, Dorothy Klick, was an avid reader, an aspiring writer, and during the war acted as a Rosie the Riveter.
Leigh is a self-published fiction author, a singer/songwriter, a screenplay writer, a photographer, a film maker and, recently, she’s embarked on a new venture with the The Proper Nest @ William Raveis as an real estate agent and property developer.
Leigh’s happiest with her husband, GC and business owner, Kevin Labbe and her son, Devan, a young creative and entrepreneur, sitting by the ocean or walking the beach.
Leigh plays guitar, writes music, and sings for a good time. She loves to rollerblade the board walk. She loves to curl up to a good conspiracy theory book along with a self-help novel. She’s a before and after home renovation junkie and loves to find a property with incredible potential. She relishes in experiencing different perspectives and traveling to uncharted territory and visit with friends. She’s always up to find a new way to do things and to view the world. Let’s enjoy the journey, my friends.
